New Lighting Ranges Added To Papillon!
Recently at Papillon Interiors, we have been updating our website and have been adding new ranges to our categories. One category that we have been updating is lighting.
Lightyears
One of the new lighting range additions to our website is Lightyears. Lightyears have always taken great pride in designing incandescent lighting creations which combine the contemporary and the traditional. They say that they owe their creations to the combination of the young and the more experienced designers. They like to mix the inquisitiveness and confidence of the younger generation with the expertise and skill of the more experienced designers.
Lightyears feel that a vital requirement of lighting is a blend of both form and function. They don’t just put any old light into production. Every detail must serve its own purpose, and not exist just for the sake of design.
Our Favourites
Jo Hammerborg designed and created the Orient Pendant Light, manufactured by Lightyears, back in 1963 for Fog & Morup. The Orient is constructed using only the highest, finest quality materials which provide it with it's flawless design. It has a genuine copper shade with a beautiful rosewood top.
When designing the Caravaggio series for Lightyears, Cecilie Manz aimed to create a simple, soft design for the large and small pendants. The feminine form is captured dring the design process where the curves pass through a number of shaping stages.
The Caravaggio comes in three finishes: High gloss lacquer, Matt, and Opal Glass.
Normann Copenhagen
Normann Copenhagen see their products as a way of living; an attitude towards life. They have the belief that designs should challenge the norm. Be a Maverick of sorts. Normann Copenhagen crafts their products with traditional materials but use them in such untraditional ways. They also follow a minimalist design based around Scandinavian characteristics.
Our Favourites
The Amp Table Lamp from Normann Copenhagem is crafted with a carbon filament bulb, marble, and glass. If required, extra bulbs can be purchased separately. The table lamp is provided with a 2 m textile cord with a switch.
The Bell Lamp from Normann Copenhagen is a robust, yet minimalistic ceiling pendant lamp crafted from aluminium with a matte finish. We recommend using an 11W low-energy bulb. The Bell Lamp comes with a 4 m textile cord.
Muuto
Muuto strive to ensure their products follow rooted Scandinavian designs whilst taking a new perspective on it. The fact that their name, Muuto, takes inspiration from the Finnish word muutos meaning new perspective says it all really. They believe that all good designs come down to the individual. Therefore they only select the top, contemporary and brightest Scandinavian designers to express and roam with their creations.
Our Favourites
The Muuto Unfold Pendant lamp shade, designed by Form Us With Love, is an industrial style lamp with a warm and contemporary feel. Made of soft, silicone rubber, the lamp can be folded by simply pushing on the top.
Said to be at its best in late evening, the Muuto Cosy in Grey Table Lamp, designed by Harri Koskinen, creates a cosy atmosphere with shifting reflections on the transparent grey mouth blown glass.
