The Mavis Siza Armchair, designed by Pierre Sindre, is a refined Scandinavian armchair inspired by the architecture of Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza and his Pavilhão de Portugal, created for the 1998 World Exhibition in Lisbon. The chair translates the pavilion's distinctive architectural forms into a graceful furniture design, with a thin, flowing seat profile, elegantly tapered legs and matching sculptural armrests.
Crafted from solid oak with a formed plywood back panel, the Siza Armchair combines a light, understated appearance with carefully considered proportions.
