The Mavis Siza Lounge, designed by Pierre Sindre, is a refined Scandinavian lounge armchair inspired by the architecture of Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza and his Pavilhão de Portugal, created for the 1998 World Exhibition in Lisbon. The chair translates the pavilion's distinctive architectural language into a graceful furniture design, with a thin, flowing seat form, elegantly tapered legs and sculptural armrests that echo the same visual expression.
Crafted from solid oak with a formed plywood back panel and leather upholstery, the Siza Lounge combines a generous, relaxed profile with carefully considered proportions. This version features white pigmented lacquered oak paired with cognac Tärnsö leather, creating a sophisticated contrast between the pale timber and warm leather.
